The main issues of  my research topics were the questions of risk allocation and risk management: how can the law, by establishing a single standard, reduce transaction costs and thus contribute to efficient solutions. The main issues of  my research topics were the questions of risk allocation and risk management: how can the law, by establishing a single standard, reduce transaction costs and thus contribute to efficient solutions. Who and how to be responsible in the internet age, where virtual activity can cause serious physical harm (e.g. AI applications or driverless cars). How to shape creditor protection rules in company law, (bankruptcy law), how to shape liability (risk allocation/risk management) rules in contracts. How could the limited liability concept survive. The history of limited liability, the history of the corporations. Lately, I have been particularly interested in international trade agreements within the WTO framework and in the related dispute settlements, mainly because of similarities and differences with the EU.
